Thank you to all of our parents who came along to our Summer Fun Day last Friday. It was a beautiful sunny day and we raised a huge amount for our school fund. Thank you all for your ongoing support.
Congratulations to our wonderful Year 6 children who took part in the Hackney Half Marathon on Sunday 20th May. The children had been practising at school every morning before lessons began. We are so happy to have lots of chicks visiting our classes at Morningside. We have watched them hatch from the eggs which arrived last week. The children are busy learning how to care for them and all about their life cycles. The children have written lots of brilliant chick diaries and stories.
We have had our best ever Easter Bonnet Parade at Morningside this year. We are so proud of our talented and creative children. Last Wednesday our wonderful kitchen staff prepared Christmas lunch for everyone here at Morningside. The children and staff ate together and sang along to Christmas songs while enjoying delicious food. All the children made their own hats and looked fabulous.
It has been a week full of Christmas celebrations here at Morningside. We had our Early Years, KS1 and KS2 Nativities. The children were amazing and all looked fabulous in their costumes. They all did really well in remembering their lines and the singing was perfect.
